Your thoughts and feelings are boosted in hopeful and purposeful Sagittarius. After all that fixed, dense energy, it’s sure nice to feel movement and direction. Sagittarius is the sign of the teacher, mentor, and mentee. How is advice flowing out or in? Are you able to receive help and teachings as much as you’re able to give? Are people connecting to what you’re putting out?

The mutable square between Pisces Neptune and Gemini Mars is REALLY frustrating to those of us who are highly driven, organized, and thrive off goals. This is “sit in the soup” energy, scattering our efforts, thoughts and clarity, and sending us into an energetic brain fog. If you need-- or want-- answers and clarity, consider changing your expectations: certainty and focus are not on the menu right now. Draw a picture, write a poem, and try not to get in arguments instead.

Deep and powerful Scorpio Sun works with the expansive purposeness of Piscean Jupiter. Something within radiates out into the world, and likely you are doing it perfectly. That doesn’t mean that you’ll get the cred, but it does mean that there is a light within that is affecting the greater collective. If you can pinpoint it and steward this energy well, you’re probably learning a bit more about your intuition and your deepest faculties. Remember this moment as Jupiter finishes up its backwards two-step in a few days. There’s something important about you that reveals itself in the world.

This indecisive and placating Moon is coming toe-to-toe with the great destroyer in a square. Hopefully this Moon can play its cards of beauty and negotiation, but perhaps it isn’t fair, and perhaps there is a triggering power dynamic. Capricorn Pluto isn’t known for its adherence to the law, to justice, or to beauty. Systems are created to benefit those who built them. Moon will be at its best if it can be the light when things are dark.

Tuesday, November 22nd

Sun enters Sagittarius

Venus conjunct Mercury in Sagittarius @ 8 degrees

Scorpio Moon opposes Taurus North Node @ 12 degrees

Scorpio Moon opposes Taurus Uranus @ 16 degrees

Scorpio Moon square Aquarius Saturn @ 19 degrees

Scorpio Moon trine Pisces Neptune @ 22 degrees

Dare I say it? With the Sun entering Sagittarius, we may get a boost in energy that we deeply need. Scorpio season REALLY made us work for it, so the Sun in this expansive sign may seem extra sweet. We can’t have Sagittarius’s expansion without Scorpio’s willingness to go deep. So now with these three personal planets in Sagittarius (Sun, Mercury, Venus) we may feel like we understand where we’re going, or at the very least, we might just feel lighter, and have more capacity to go further with our communications and connections. Students will have the energy for the extra push for the end of the semester. Travel plans are finally starting to work out. We get to enjoy the “feel good” parts of our healing journeys.

Scorpio is not yet done with us, though, because the Moon has some work to do on our innermost sensitivities. Moon opposes North Node and Uranus in Taurus to make the point made in eclipse season about our future trajectory and personal revolutions, and our relationship to abundance, finances, and our selves. Moon squares Saturn to make us aware of our bodies and corporeal limitations. The healing is never done, dear friends. It might feel tough, or even insurmountable to know that, but as my tumbling professor (who escaped the Nazis in WWII by joining a commedia dell’arte troupe) used to say, “at least you know you are alive!” We are bound by work and a finite amount of time and reality; and yet, we are also made of all the time, the work, and realities that came before us through our bloodlines.

The water trine between Scorpio Moon and Pisces Neptune suggests we will get something from this last kick at the Scorpio can. Something deeply healing, and liminally connected will be working with us. Meditation, art, and medicine work will be powerful, and your psychic powers could be on point. Just remember, Neptune confuses– and will leave you yearning. It’s a whole vibe, and not one that you want to bet the farm on.

Wednesday, November 23rd

Venus conjunct Mercury in Sagittarius @ 9 degrees

Scorpio Moon trine Pisces Jupiter @ 28 degrees

New Moon in Sagittarius @ 1 degree

Venus remains connected to Mercury in Sagittarius. Your relationship, connections, focus, communications, and ideas all expand into a hopeful, spiritual, and uplifting trajectory. Be careful not to proselytize, people come to expansions in their own timing. Sounding “holier than thou” can feel judgy, and people don’t respond to that, even if your intentions are pure. One of the finest skills to master is the art of sharing knowledge. Make sure you are thinking about how your message is received just as much as the message itself. It makes all the difference.

Scorpio Moon trines Pisces Jupiter to lend some emotional intelligence to the situation at hand. Scorpio Moon wants privacy and power, Pisces Jupiter is expanded and spiritual; working together they are able to help the macro situation from the highest level. What battle are you actually fighting? Pro tip: it’s probably NOT actually about the dishes.

As Moon enters Sagittarius and disappears into the Sun, we have a divine new Moon at 1 degree. This gives some soothing and inspirational fire that some of us desperately need to go on. And “go on” we must; there’s a whole season afoot, and we all need each other in this communal soup we are making. Each ingredient, including you, is essential.

The new Moon asks us where we are *actually* headed; what we are aiming for, and how big can we expand? It asks our bodies and spirit to enmesh to plant sacred seeds in the mutuble fires of Sagittarius. Change is on the doorstep, how will we direct the arrow? It’s true that we often aim our arrows at something, and end up hitting an unintended target. Does that mean we failed? Should we just stop bothering to shoot? (these are rhetorical questions, of course.) Scorpio has cleaned us out so that our aim will be from the purest of hearts. Scorpio gave us rebirth, Sagittarius gives us a triumph of spirit.

Side note, not all triumphs are obvious. They aren’t all Queen anthems and red carpet parties. Some triumphs are celebrated at the side of the shore, while naked, cold, and alone; but breathing, alive, and feeling the lifeforce running through you like never before.

Thursday, November 24th

Venus conjunct Mercury in Sagittarius @ 10 degrees (conjunct Moon @ 10/11 degrees)

Sagittarius Moon trine Aries Chiron @ 12 degrees

Sagittarius Moon opposes Gemini Mars @ 20 degrees

Sagittarius Mercury trine Aries Chiron @ 12 degrees

Venus and Mercury stay close in Sagittarius as Moon joins the party. Our bodies, emotions, and thought processes are in sync with this forward trajectory. If we had doubts yesterday, we are likely getting in line with the “new way” today.

Our wounds come up today in the form of trines with Moon and Mercury, our bodies and brains might be integrating some deep stuff. Fire trines burn us, propel us, and get stuff done. Fire trines have a signature of impatience. Our bodies, minds, and wounds are working together to resolve something, and resolve it quickly.

Sagittarius Moon opposes Gemini Mars in its travels. This mutable opposition is about effort, and energy versus body and emotional stability. If ever there was a day to “sweat it out” it’s today. Both of these placements demand the body’s resources and energy to be directed, and they are in tension because Gemini Mars has abstract points to make and informational energy to share, as does Sagittarius Moon, with its need to teach and exert faith. There are a lot of points to be made here, but perhaps let’s sublimate the effort into a rousing game of table tennis? In the end, it’s more important to play the game than find the winner.

Friday, November 25th

Sagittarius Moon square Pisces Neptune @ 22 degrees

Sagittarius Moon square Pisces Jupiter @ 28 degrees

This teachy and preachy Moon is in Mutable square with Pisces’ modern and ancient rulers. Sagittarius’ arrow might disappear into the mist with Neptune, but there could be important art and dreams in utero. There is movement in the madness. There could be discomfort in the restlessness of this Moon that wants to find the truth, only to find Neptunian waters are hard to decode. When this moon squares Jupiter, the theme of movement and expansion continues, dreams, beliefs, and ideas all come into play. The excesses of Jupiter could breed their own kind of stifling on Moon. Did we overindulge? Did we push too hard? How do we solve a problem like Maria? A flibberty-jibbett, a will-of-a-whisp, a clown?

You may be interacting with what engineers call “a wicked problem.” The solution is there, and percolating, but likely not very easy to find or hold on to. How DO you catch a cloud and pin it down?

Saturday, November 26th

Capricorn Moon square Aries Chiron @ 12 degrees

Capricorn Moon trine Taurus North Node @ 12 degrees

Capricorn Moon trine Taurus Uranus @ 16 degrees

Capricorn Moon can be very practical and clear. What I like about it is that it makes clear-cut decisions about emotions that allow us to see the way out of the tunnel. What I don’t like about it, is that it tends to skim over the depth of wounding and hurt. “Keep Calm and Carry On” has Capricorn Moon vibes. Let’s not make a whole “thing” about it.

Capricorn Moon is up against our identity wound today while at the same moment being helped by our future karma in relation to our abundance and self worth. Self-esteem and self-image will definitely be at play hare, so dress for the job you want, as they say. Who are you BENEATH that wound? Is there a part of you that remembers the "you" before the wound? I have a friend who says he quit heroin by remembering his identity before he got addicted. He tapped into being that person, and became him. I can’t imagine what that would be like, but obviously, it’s powerful. Also: this is not to say that this can work for everyone-- every journey with addiction and trauma is different.

Who are you without your wound?

Capricorn Moon pushes through to trine Uranus. Perhaps there is something online that can help you deal with whatever is on your plate or perhaps there will be a flash of insight that helps you do the work needed to carry into Sunday.

Sunday, November 27th

Capricorn Moon conjunct Pluto @ 26 degrees

Gemini Mars trine Aquarius Saturn @ 19 degrees

What kind of power struggle are you contending with? Psychological processes sometimes are tied to emotions we don’t understand while they happen. A system that doesn’t respect the value of fresh air or water, yet values a brand or building, can hardly be sympathetic to your needs. Your deep-seated habits, passed on generationally– of surviving– despite war, famine, grief and sadness, are buried within. Sometimes these emotions come up with no warning. Hopefully you have the tools to contend this powerful shift and can transform yourself through it. Hopefully this quick moment is something you can have compassion for, and instead of feeling trapped or cursed, you can see how strong you are for feeling those feels.

Gemini Mars retrograde has been a tricky energy to work with, no? It can’t be all bad though. What has this energy taught you so far in his transit? He lends some help to Aquarian Saturn today to add stability to his motion. You can take responsibility for what your part is in all of this, and find a way to be a greater part of the collective. Your abstract chatter and mounting anger is serving something strong and collaborative. It’s constructive. Funnel it through the channels available to you, use information fairly if you can’t focus it. Aquarius Saturn wants to benefit all and that means personal responsibility is key when it comes to whatever things you are trying to communicate.
