Astrology Transits: A Universal Nudge from the Divine

We are creeping, however slowly, into some very new energy this week. The biggest news is that Chiron enters Taurus on June 19th, and it hasn’t been here since around 50 years ago. The more rare the transit, the more potent it is. That’s why we focus on the outer planets/ asteroids in predictive astrology; they move slowly and speak to generational epochs. They go retrograde and belabor the point.
We recently had a tour of Uranus in this same house/ area of our chart, where unexpected disruptions, changes, breakthroughs, and changes occurred for us. It started in May 2018 and finished up this year in April. This centred on our food supply systems, the channel, our relationship with the earth, commerce, and technology behind commerce. We saw new monetary systems emerge, and we saw, during this time, what happened if everything just stopped. On personal levels, we saw huge calls to freedom in one major area of our chart. Uranus is as fast as a bolt of lightning, and Taurus is the slowest sign of all. Tectonic shifts happen slowly, but they can cause earthquakes, and that is generally how I experienced Uranus in Taurus. This was wholly destructive in my 11th house which rules friends and groups I am a part of.
Throughout this period of time, I found myself dealing with character assassination, frustration in leadership, irreconcilable differences, and either leaving, or being kicked out of important communities. In hindsight I am surprised I found so many communities to be a part of, and even more surprised at how many I ended up leaving or being shown the door. And now, Chiron will be entering this house, this range, this week. For me this marks a Chiron return which is usually preceded by a healing crisis (in my case: cancer.)
Whatever jarring or traumatic things happened to you in the last 7 years in your Taurus area of your chart: the healing potential for the next 7 years is huge, especially when speaking about your body, the earth, your relationship to abundance/ rest/ discomfort, your relationship with food, self-worth, and security. Look to your Venus’s sign to get a bit more information about this transit.
A little tidbit from my own body: I had been using it as a resource; a battery to be drained of everything and then recharged from zero. I noticed that sometimes other people treat me like that too, and I recognized in all this cancer hullaballoo that I have to value myself more for my own sovereignty. Cancer makes you feel anything BUT sovereign.
There is a place in my mind where I get through this and triumph. And until then, here are the timestamps.
June 19th Chiron enters Taurus
June 21 Sun ingresses into Cancer (Cancer Solstice)
June 23rd Cancer Sun trine Pisces NN @ 1 degree
June 25th Leo Venus trine Aries Saturn @ 13 degrees
June 25th Cancer Sun square Aries Neptune @ 4 degrees
June 19th is the date Chiron dips into Taurus and changes the focus of healing from identity and ego, to body, receiving, relationships to food, the earth, and finances. From masculine energy to feminine. From cardinal to fixed. Remember, the act of healing is rarely a neat package of yoga mantras and perfect poses as seen from the beach on a sunny day. The act of healing is more like wounding that sets off compulsive or obsessive thoughts, ugly crying, a very loud brain that relentlessly tortures, and perhaps a unannounced exit, a breakdown or a relapse. Real healing hurts a little.

She says “stop. I’m a girl.

Chiron will be in Taurus until September 17tth, of this year and won’t return until 2027. By then our Chiron healing narrative will be far past the prologue. But likely, this story is already unfolding for you as much as it is for me.
I have more to say on this subject, coming up in a few days or so.
June 21st is Cancer season/ Cancer Solstice; the longest day of the year in the northern hemisphere and the shortest day of the year in the southern hemisphere. This is a gigantic threshold, leading us to the crux of the year’s lessons by centring the Sun in the Moon’s sign of protection, motherhood, birth, safe containers, creativity, emotional literacy, and nurturing. This is feminine, receptive energy, ushering a new season, and the first water season of the zodiacal year. Mercury goes retrograde in Cancer for most of July, making our words and communication emotional, moody, and nostalgic.
`
Some say, it is in the second half that the year really lets us know what it’s on about…And I’m sort of holding onto that.
On July 23rd the Sun makes a beneficial trine to the North Node in Pisces at 1 degree while making a sextile to the South Node in Virgo. Here’s a universal nudge from the divine that will help you use your skills, talents, and propensities to move you in that direction that calls you. You may not be so skilled in this direction, but you can’t look away from it. And you’ve been working with this energy of dissolution and letting go, spiritual quest, emotional depth, and altered states for almost 18 months now. Something is knocking at your door to have you increase your spiritual, emotional, and universal connection. When in doubt, make art, and all will be well. If you can’t make art, a moment of presence, mindfulness, and dreaming will suffice.
On June 25th we have two aspects: firstly a beneficial fire trine between Venus and Saturn. There’s this idea of Leo Venus needing to be seen and recognized, and ultimately valued. There’s this idea of leading by heart, and the leading really comes from stepping in with love. Aries Saturn helps us work though the labor of this, and the steps that ask us for courage, initiation, and breaking the ice on things that need to be worked on. Ultimately the work we do as individuals, from the place of initiation, that will bring ease to the idea of being known. There is deep spiritual fire to be harnessed here, so artists, musicians, writers, filmmakers might catch some genius, or at least some innovative technique. You might be led to water, but the path to get there won’t necessarily be short. The austerity and discomfort of the path to get there: it might make you mad or impatient. Venus is about both our relationship to money, and to others. Whatever nudges you forward is for you, not against you.
The second aspect today is Cancer Sun square Aries Neptune. There’s this idea of your personal vision, dream, or idea coming into some conflict with your consciousness. Cancer Sun tends to want safety, nurturing, and family over entrepreneurial, enterprising, and risk taking Aries Neptune. Neptune will spiritualize this sitjuation. Squares bring up growth and solutions by way of discomfort, anger, or exterior pressure. Cancer Sun can be overly conscious, kid-focused or sentimental, but Aries Neptune can be recklessly deluded, or financially gullible. Moments like these are opportunities to course correct our vision so that it does have staying power– and stability. Again, questions of safety are coming up here. Where are your blind-spots?
This week ushers in some feminine energy during a mostly masculine procession, with Jupiter moving into Leo at the end of the month. That’s a lot of fire. There is something to touch into here, that is– at least symbolically the middle of the year. There’s a message for us here about where we are going – look at where/ what/ who you hold in the next week. Notice how it makes you feel. We are slowing down for a moment, but things speed up again pretty soon.
