Astrology Transits: You Probably Can Feel Shifts in the Air

Glorious friends,
This next bit of time we are in the works for some shamanic, tectonic, and huge shifts. The world is transforming, shifting, and birthing, and energetically things will speed up exponentially. Saturn has left Pisces for around 29 years now, and entered Aries again after a 29 year zodiac tour. We are starting a new cycle of responsibility, commitment, structure, and boundaries to do with our own agency, our own souls. You probably can feel shifts in the air, or you notice glitches in the matrix, weird coincidences, signs, etc. If you are paying attention, you’ll notice that the world is throwing out signals. These next few days are going to interesting.

February 17th Solar eclipse in Aquarius, 28 degrees
February 18th Sun enters Pisces
February 20th Aries Saturn conjunct Neptune 0 degrees
February 22nd Pisces Venus trine Cancer Jupiter RX @ 15 degrees
February 26th Mercury retrograde in Pisces @ 22 degrees
On the morning of February 17th we open the eclipse portal with a Solar (New Moon) Eclipse in Aquarius at 28 degrees, and this portal will end on March 3rd with a Full Moon in Virgo. Eclipse portals are when time speeds up, when things are revealed, and when history is made. For those of you actively working to make things happen in your lives, this is a time to take your foot off the gas. Non-doing/ listening/ reacting to what is– this is more prescribed than trying to force an issue. This is a period in which the gods are in charge, and they have an agenda.
The Solar Eclipse on the 17th starts and sets the agenda: ending Aquarius season with a bang. New Moons are endings of a cycle, and beginnings, and this is a North Node eclipse, which asks us to step aside and welcome in some new energy. The Sabian Symbol for this point of the zodiac is: A BUTTERFLY EMERGING FROM A CHRYSALIS which is pretty self explanatory, but let me say here that awakenings, changes, growing up, blossoming, and moving forward are all the vibe we are going for here.
Aquarius is a socially conscious, humanitarian sign of fixed air. We have seen all kinds of contrary energy, and mounting signs of a new age. Hierarchical power is of the past, and we are building a new world. It has started, and we all have a part to play. This eclipse season is sure to show us something about what is being asked of us.
This also begins-- in Chinese astrology-- the year of the fire horse.
This is step one of a cosmic process that we have been mounting to for a long time. Note that this is the first eclipse on the Aquarius/Leo polarity and we are dovetailing into new lessons and stories around this. The moment of the eclipse, Venus is conjunct the North Node in Pisces, at the same degree of the upcoming Mercury retrograde shadow point, and by the 18th we will have a stellium in Pisces rather than Aquarius. Because February 18th begins Pisces season.
This season is one of the very few water-heavy periods this year, which has a lot of air and fire, but this is one of them. And we are going to have a lot of feelings if we haven’t started them already. If you’ve been super tired leading up to the eclipse, many of us have been. I’m writing this after a long nap.
Pisces season is highly intuitive, creative, emotional, but also it speaks to endings. It is a highly spiritual time when boundaries are low, and energy is porous. We’ve had very strong Pisces energy in the last few years, and this is slowly changing. What is replacing Pisces energy which is liminal, deep, mysterious– is Aries energy.
Both Saturn and Neptune have already entered Aries, a fire sign that is brave, quick, and energetic. Saturn brings a school of hard knocks vibe– it wants us to work, commit, and be responsible. Neptune brings us idealization and fantasies, but also disillusionment meant to propel us to purification. You may have already had a run in with this energy, but if you haven’t, don’t worry, you won’t miss it.
Friday February 20th is the conjunction of Saturn and Neptune in Aries at 0 degrees. This event is so rare, they say it last happened 9000 years ago at this degree of Aries. The last time these two planets conjoined ( this time it was in Capricorn) was in 1989. The last time they met up in Aries was in 1703. My point is: this is rare astrology, and you are living it, and these two planets will be exerting their will on humanity at this first degree of the zodiacal wheel, and the Sabian Symbol for that is: A WOMAN HAS RISEN OUT OF THE OCEAN, A SEAL IS EMBRACING HER. The energy of this point is about new cycles, new emergence of the feminine, and moving forward.
This is what we very much need, fam. It just might be hard to accept the new reality.
On Sunday February 22nd exalted Pisces Venus will make a trine to Jupiter in Cancer at 15 degrees, and this might help us heal something to do with our relationship and beliefs of the feminine, mother, or our ideals of both. There is a sweetness and ease to this energy, so courageous conversations and loving tending is very apt here, and there could also be some financially lucrative energy happening with these two benefits supporting each other in the final degree of Jupiter’s retrograde.
On Thursday February 26th, Mercury will station retrograde in Pisces to review, rethink, and reconsider our cognitive understanding, emotional intelligence, and communication of a particular issue. There’s some unfinished or unprocessed business to go over and it’s worthy of note that on this same day, the Sun will conjunct the North Node at 8 degrees- the same degree of Mercury’s shadow, and the point that Mercury will travel back to. If you want to understand completely what this lesson is about, you can look to the house in your chart that is ruled by Pisces, and/or journal about what you are noticing and having to go over- this usually is quite helpful. Mercury retrogrades are more annoying than anything else, and usually do not bring catastrophe or anything too brutal. But our brains can do a good job of convincing us otherwise, and that is always the rub.
Remember this is all happening within the eclipse portal, so if you feel like you are riding a wild fire horse- you’re doing it right. Your job is to hold on, and keep going, and eventually, you’ll get to a point where you are in charge again.
You’re doing this perfectly, even if it doesn't feel like it.
