November 15th:
Full Moon in Taurus @ 24 degrees (conjunct Uranus @ 25 degrees)
1:28 pm PST/ 4:28 pm EST
Well it's been quite a year so far, hasn't it? This wild full Moon in Taurus is going to affect us all in surprising ways.
Let’s review what Moon represents in our psyche and life: it’s related to our human form, our body and its instinctual processes. It’s linked to our maternal line, and therefore to our great ancestor. Our Moon sign and placement dictates our cycles, our ancestral makeup, and how our body reacts to things. It can relate to our overall health, our deeply held emotional needs and fears, and our insecurities. Our Moon is the self that is oft described as being highly affected by our mother figure in early life, and therefore our Moon placement will affect our relationship with women.
The Moon loves to be in Taurus because it’s sensual, abundant, and embodied. Earth signs are about what is real, and Moon can instantly feel the security of that authenticity. Full Moons are culminations of energy that have built to a crescendo. Full Moons-- in context of astrology-- are exact oppositions between the Sun and the Moon.
The Sun is our consciousness and because of the inherent opposition, this moment may involve tension in a relationship. Usually this tension will play out where one of you will embody the Moon and one of you will embody the Sun. Throw in one of the wildest of cards-Uranus conjunct the Moon, and there's an element of insight, revolution, and change will make things extra unpredictable, and perhaps a tad intense.
While it has not perfected yet and won’t for a few days after, Sagittarius Mercury is applying an opposition to Gemini Jupiter, which adds to the relationship tension story. But this one has some mutual reception since each planet is in the other’s sign. Sagittarius Mercury is likely going to get lost in the plot, and Gemini Jupiter may also. One is too slow, the other too fast. Neither are clear. This opposition has the flavor of discordance about what is true, what is spoken, and potentially a battle of beliefs.
There might be triggers, for everyone, in different forms in this (these) opposition(s.) The full Moon is a fixed opposition so there will be stubbornness and refusal to change-- even though change has been woven into the fabric of this moment. This energy will carry into the next day with Venus forming a T square with the Nodes. Something is going to come up and will need to be dealt with. Choices may have to be made.
The Sabian Symbol for 24 degrees Taurus is
A Large Well-Kept Public Park
This symbol speaks to the need for public cooperation and co creation to make something beautiful and enjoyable. It’s about being part of something bigger, and really doing that community thing, but not overdoing it to your own detriment. Finding the sweet spot of balance for you and your life. It asks you to put the right amount of effort to truly have what you want.
We can see that something that has been building since May 7th regarding these themes of security, community, comfort, collective effort. "What you are building and with whom" will come to a climax with surprises and unexpected game changers with this full Moon, which is ruled by the Capricorn Venus in that T Square with our karmic nodes. Coincidentally, it was May 13th when the Sun conjoined Uranus, and it’s now that we have this opposition to it. That story is continuing with this full Moon, and with more surprises, revelations and evidence. Scorpio is digging up the graveyard, Uranus is showing us that which can’t be unseen, just like it did on May 13th. The only way forward, is forward. The Sun is spotlighting the Moon, making our deepest self come out to play, usually fueled by interaction with another person or persons. And in this case- everything about this full Moon suggests we’re all going to have to deal with each other.
How fitting that this happens only a few days before Pluto moves into Aquarius, the sign of the collective; ruled by Uranus. This collective full Moon lesson is trying to teach us about each other, to work with each other, be good to each other. In order to so, it might expose some of our biggest flaws, or our worst fears, or bring out some trauma responses. We are being asked to step up, to make a better collective than the one we have now.
We can't wring our hands about "idiots" who voted for the wrong party. We need to be the kind of person who can embrace and empathize with the person who did the wrong thing for the wrong reason-- we have to better, smarter, and more strategic. Righteousness gets us nowhere. Full Moons are the culmination of what began 6 months ago, and they have another 6 months to conclude. This is a climax of sorts.
There are positives about the full Moon, and it could always be experienced as a triumph, an innovative jumping off point, or a social or physical ascension; such as a promotion or raise, or perhaps a really great community event. There is a weirdness, boldness, and change embedded in this full Moon, that may bring out some confused behavior for the unregulated or those with an open channel.
Full Moons bring tension that will subside and start to drift, but it might help to understand that this full Moon is bringing more change than usual. More tension than usual. Mores surprises than usual. We are going to be placed with choices about whether or not we are going evolve the way we operate in relationships. or not.
Whatever is out there is here-- in our personal lives. How we treat those closest to us is reflected out into the world like ripples in the ocean. We might want to think about how we treat our selves in relationships. Do we hide ourselves within them, or do we eclipse everyone to assert ourselves? Do we allow things we are not comfortable with? Do we exert control despite it not really working for everyone else? Whatever we are doing, or needing to learn; one thing is certain: we are moving forward, despite our stubbornness, beliefs, or preferences. Full Moon Blessings my friends.
