Hello my friends, and how is it doing out there in this brave new world? How are your social scenes feeling these days? Are any of you wondering who your people are? Wondering where you belong in the social sphere? Are any of you trying to break free? If this resonates, it is because Aquarius rules humanity and the principle of the collective, and Pluto entered it last week, where we will have a tour of Pluto in Aquarius now until 2046. Currently Pluto is at 0 degrees Aquarius which is a very pure degree of any sign. And Pluto’s job is to transform us, specifically in terms of power, revelation, and transmutation, in this area of our life. The area of our life would be determined by a birth chart.
Possibly there is nothing of note happening in your 0 degree Aquarius part of your chart, but no matter who you are, this tour will affect you.
To prepare us for this tour, we have been undergoing a lot of relationship reconfiguration, recalibration, and reshuffling. This has forced us to reconsider our own role in our closest relationships, and within society. Mars in Leo opposing Pluto has had us contending with anger, fear, will, and desire. We can’t always get what we want, and our relationship with our desire is going to be under review very soon.
What a beautiful thing to be starting a new relationship with the collective during Sagittarius season. We are optimistic, idealistic, and looking to point our arrows high. We have more faith and trust than usual, because we just cleared out a whole lot of space in Scorpio season. We start building our new world with spiritual expansion, chutzpah, and the flame of intention.
Feel free to scroll past the aspects for more about how to work with this week's energy.

On Monday November 25th Mercury is going retrograde in Sagittarius until December 15th, at 22 degrees to 6 degrees. It means we will be reviewing our thoughts, ideas, understandings, and communications during this period, and mistakes and miscommunications might crop up to point out where we need further review and understanding. We might have to rethink our strategy or goal, we might have to look at where we’ve been too idealistic or overshot our resources, including time. This is a season where we often try to do too much: parties, concerts, special events, kids stuff, seasonal expectations, etc. Mercury will have us contending with where maybe we need to be more grounded or realistic, or where we simply are under resourced.
On Tuesday 26th we have a lovely trine with the North Node in Aries and Sagittarius Sun at 4 degrees. In fact it’s a grand fire trine if we include Mars in Leo at 5 degrees, and grand fire trines deliver some serious inspiration and impetus. There is something fated here, something effortlessly, magically, divine coming to help guide us to our future. It will involve a synthesis of our consciousness and sense of self, our desire, inner flame, and our future karma; which often feels a bit awkward and strange, yet alluring. This is beneficial and easy energy to work with, even though it could involve anger; in which case we want to be sure we are always acting in our highest and best. If it does involve anger, likely this anger is a guidance system of growth, it just needs to be seen and expressed properly.
You can trust this fire, but you are responsible for how you use it.
On Wednesday November 27th we have a continuation of this beneficial grand fire trine, with Sun and Mars perfecting at 5 degrees. Whatever sparked this arrow to fly on Tuesday, finds its target on early Wednesday morning, and there is ease to find the path of understanding, idealism, action, leadership and intention. Inspired action will feel like being moved, and could feel unavoidable. This could be awesome, exciting, you could be full of beans. But you could be over-optimistic in how you will be received. Mercury is in retrograde, so remember that misunderstandings and miscommunications are likely during this period.
Later on Wednesday we have a cardinal square between retrograde Chiron in Aries and Venus in Capricorn at 19 degrees. Squares make us grow and move (like Mars does) and remember: we don’t really grow and move when we are comfortable and content; no matter how much we try to be chill with everything. No gratitude journal is going to make you ok with childhood traumatic events, so let’s just name that here and now. We all have stuff, and that doesn’t make us bad manifesters, or bad vibes. Our trauma and wounding holds a key--the glyph for Chiron is a key-- to how we help humanity. Our trauma and wounding is the path to our sacred role in this human experiment. Right now Chiron is making us look deep into our wild self.
The untamed creature that is you, and how you identify.
Our wounding will antagonize or be antagonized by our principle of Venus: our values, our finances, our most important connections. This Venus likes tradition, family, strategy, hierarchy, and is related to career and public roles. This Venus might find herself struggling to maintain her crown, or trust someone they have always trusted. Alternately, this frustrating force (which can be circumstantial) might help us heal this wound, or bring up an identity trauma, memory, or trigger; and that ultimately can lead to us healing it. This is not a magic bullet or a one-shot wonder. This is cosmic reminder of our life's purpose.
Have you ever noticed why so much spiritual art is so brutal? From Jesus on a cross, to the entire swords suite in the Smith-Ryder-Waite tarot art; spirituality shows cruelty and ruthlessness because of the inhumanity of being alive. Incorporated into our trauma is how we collectively normalize it. Spirituality asks us to face it.
Ram Dass once said: If you think you’re enlightened, go spend a week with your family.
Those that do Vipassana meditation retreats sit in silence for days, with no phones, no entertainment, no creature comforts– in a sacred act of non-doing. Spirituality isn’t about ignoring and avoiding unpleasant vibes. It isn’t about labeling things or people “high vibration” or “low vibration.” It’s about growth, consciousness, and expansion. We are here to face things, witness and midwife change, love things and have to let them go. We are here to lose everything, and yet we love hard anyway.
Saturday November 30th caps off the month with a beautiful Sagittarius new Moon at 9 degrees, which is a sacred ending and beginning. We do intentions after a new Moon because the energy is potent, and in Sagittarius– the optimism is high. We need that faith right now, my friends. If I can impart anything to you-- know that what you do on in your individual life sends ripples out into the the ether.
Jupiter is the planet of belief and expansion, and it rules this full Moon while loosely opposing it, in Gemini. Gemini likes facts, ideas, and opinions, and Jupiter likes truth, so there is something ending/ beginning regarding truth/lies, belief/faith, expanded narratives and how they influence, exposed facts, social agreements, rumours, and where these all fit into our personal goals.
The opposition suggests we will play this out in relationship, and actually is a T-square with Saturn in Pisces at 12 degrees, at the apex. That means, the energy will be expressed through lessons, responsibilities, endings, boundaries, and the word no. Nothing comes easy with Saturn. We will be shackled to our spiritual work, even though this mutable square is ushering in change, part of change involves enacting what was in place.
Sagittarius is the sign that ends autumn in the northern hemisphere, and spring in the southern hemisphere. It doubles down on getting the seasonal vibe out there before everything changes. It’s peak adoption, to borrow from capitalism nomenclature. This new Moon represents what we did and where we are going. It’s spiritual, and it’s well packaged. It’s challenging us to dream big, and it’s making us face the truth. It’s inspiring us to move, but we are carrying an albatross from the past. No one will get out of this alive.
This new Moon comes with an applying trine between Taurus Uranus and Capricorn Venus, ruler of this Uranus. There is some change in the air, likely to do with our values. The old way is contending with the new way, and reorganizing what stays and goes in this changed world. Expect surprises, revelations, nostalgic interactions, memories, and collections to be invoked during this potent new Moon. This is spiritual juju, and like I said, we need your faith. We owe it to everyone to have faith and shoot high.
This week has buzz and movement. It has hopes and dreams. It has some reality checks too. But really, there are challenges to our beliefs and ideas about the past, what happened, and what information we are moving forward with. Will we settle for a normalized peace, or will we face inconvenient truths? Did we avoid saying something, or protecting someone, because we were uncomfortable with the ramifications? Did we ignore harmful or toxic signals in our relationships to keep the peace, or maintain the status quo? Were we complicit in a coverup, or did we silence a voice? We all do unconscious things, and sometimes our behaviour is led by trauma response. Normalizing inexcusable behaviour is a trauma response that victims enact all the time. So-- no shade to anyone contending with these questions. Having compassion for ourselves when we didn't know better, is part of breaking the spell. Another part is inspired action, which is perfectly aligned with Sagittarius season.
Blessings for a beautiful end of November!
