Astrology Transits: We Might Feel Strong Introvert Pulls

A LOT of people have been telling me how tired and fatigued they are lately, and it’s crazy because: me too- but also I’m currently doing chemotherapy, so it’s really not a huge surprise for these circumstances. But you all are feeling this along with me, and here are a few reasons this might be happening:
Mars has been touring Taurus (fixed, slow and dense energy) which has Mars in its fall. Anyone with Aries placements might be feeling this big time. Scorpio fairs better with this because it’s a water sign. Either way, Mars is the slowest roller in Taurus, and that can be frustrating.
We just moved into Cancer season, which is the seat of creation, pregnancy, mother stuff, feelings, and concerned with safety. That means some of us with strong water signatures might be feeling this liminally, and trying to work through feelings that are becoming more pressing. Cancer does move, and moves quickly, but it also is a place of nurturing, protection, homebase, and family, so we might feel strong introvert pulls in our daily life. There is a call home here, and to safety, and if you haven't been attending to your emotional field very much, Cancer season could slow you down.
With Chiron in Taurus, we all should feel a little more “in our bodies” and notice our food, wealth and security patterns. A woman I follow on Instagram was doing a bit on how nobody is getting tattoos anymore (she’s a tattoo artist living in Berlin-- now doing standup.) This never occurred to me at all-- that there were ebbs and flows with tattoo art, (I’m not decisive enough to get a tattoo it seems.) But this idea, this wounding and healing idea, and the fact that no one’s getting tattoos these days, well that’s new, isn’t it?
There is an energy of wounding around our bodies, our sense of abundance, and relationships that is coming up now. And that can slow us down considerably. We can avoid how things feel, to a point, until those feelings turn into something physical, or pressing. Trust me on this one.
Well my friends, this energy is about to change, and this summer is about to get more fire and air. Cancer season's gifts are to get clear on our home base, our emotional field, before things get really crazy in Leo season. Here are the timestamps:
June 28: Taurus Mars sextile Cancer Jupiter @ 29°
June 28: Mars ingresses into Gemini
June 29 Mercury stations Retrograde @ 26° until July 23rd
June 29: Full Moon in Capricorn @ 8°
June 30th: Gemini Mars squares lunar nodes @ 1 degree
June 30th Jupiter enters Leo
July 1: Leo Jupiter square Chiron in Taurus (sextile the Pisces North Node) @ 0°
July 3: Gemini Mars conjunct Uranus 3°
On Sunday June 28th Taurus Mars will make a sextile to Cancer Jupiter at the most anaretic degree of 29. This means there is an element of working together, and friendly ease to these two planets work in tandem, as Jupiter in Cancer is wrapping up a year long tour in a sign that it is exalted in. Jupiter looks at our beliefs, our faith, and what we need to learn to expand. Taurus Mars is in its detriment because of how slow to motivate, get up and go it is here, but it has been gathering strength and motion as it works hard through Taurus. This sextile could be a boon financially, or bring some delicious feasts your way. Or motivate you to connect with someone important. Whatever the flavor you get in the earlier day, it will likely be noticeable, and occur with some sort of expansion.
Mars will move into Gemini, and Gemini will have Mars more curious, flirtatious, and moving quicker in this mutable sign. In fact, this could be quite a buildup as Mars approaches a conjunction with Uranus at 3 degrees, but that isn’t until July 3rd. Keep this in mind with this energy, surprises and breakthroughs leading up to and including the 3rd could have a big impact, especially if you have planets or points between 1-5 degrees in any mutable sign; but especially in Gemini.
But more about Mars in Gemini; which will last until August 11th– Mars in Gemini can be clever, social, and highly aware. The issue is through this transit, that Mercury, ruler of Mars– goes retrograde the very next day, and honestly, has already slowed to a halt by the time Mars hits Gemini. So we’ve got massive potential for miscommunications, missed travel plans, snafus, and over emotional responses. What is normally a calm debate might turn into something more heated. Mars can be so determined that it could manipulate to get what it wants, or even worse fight for something harder-- maybe too hard?-- to get its way. Generally we want to look at the area of your chart that carries both Gemini and Cancer to see how this might play out for you, but any Gemini or Virgo placement will be affected.
Mars in Gemini can start great conversations, write great copy, and pull in multiple dates, but can it keep it going under these emotional and nostalgic conditions? If you tend to lose your emotional cool often, NOW is the time get journaling, working with your hands, and keeping your intentions light. You don't want to spill your cups. There are chances of going too far, getting stuck in your emotional memories, and releasing buried feelings with this upcoming Full Moon. Feelings are ephemeral, even when you are feeling them again. It’s easy to forget that you don’t feel those feelings every moment of every day, but they are recalled, reexperienced, re-remembered. And that they subside after time if our brain can let them go.
On Monday June 29th we get all kinds of astro-weather with first the Mercury retrograde, and then a Full Moon in Capricorn. This Full Moon will likely affect us all with the Moon in detriment, and in a T square with Neptune in Aries as the apex. We are being beckoned and asked about commitment and responsibility, family/ work dynamic, feelings versus material reality. The T square suggests that we need to vision out something different in this realm, and that our dreams, our confusions, and our ability to really vision out what we want-- will be the mechanism for this energy. There's something personal here. Remember that the Saturn, the ruler of this Full Moon, also resides in Aries, asking us to start committing to the dream, the vision, the self. Whatever butthurt feelings come up on this day, remember that they are telling you to get closer to your own wildness, identity, and self. There’s something you may be leaving out, or your boundaries might be a little loose.
This is on the last day of Jupiter in Cancer, while in Cancer season, while Mercury retrogrades in Cancer. So there is this strong mother/father, fact/feeling, creation/manifestation vibe going on here with our subconscious and our feeling that will come to point.
How do you prioritize your own vision and commit to it?
On Tuesday June 30th- the last day of June, and the last day of Jupiter in Cancer, Mars in Gemini first squares the lunar nodes at 1 degree. This is almost the end of an 18 month journey with these nodes shifting soon into new signs, but until then, this Tsquare will hit you in your karmic checkpoint: where are you going and where have you been?
With South Node in Virgo, you’ve been learning how to let go of the little details, obsessive organizing and categorizing, OCD worry, fear, and criticsm for yourself and others. You’ve been expanding your ability to let go, accept endings and grief, and spiritual acceptance. You may have a broader feeling or opening of intuition, and you may have had unfortunate run-ins with malefic folk, the addicted, or martyr types. The martyr might be you. Something about Gemini Mars will have you motivated conversationally, curiously, and looking for a mirror for your desires, frustrations, or sexuality. There is something to come to here either by conversation, journalism, duality. But this is less about mental work and more about inner fire and drive.
And Jupiter moves into Leo. This is the Sun’s territory, and it’s a place to be seen, noticed, and lead by heart, and with Jupiter moving here we know we will have plenty of learning, attention, big hair, and fiery conversations. Our ego’s might need some stoking after this week we’ve had, and we may find ourselves trying to get more attention: whether it be for a very good reason, or not. Leo likes to lead the charge, this is going to be a fruitful time for public speakers, subject matter experts, and singers, actors and theatre. This is a good time for ideas, creativity on stage, and taking care of the pride. This is also time for PRIDE, hair, wigs, costumes, grandiosity. No surprise there. But Jupiter will be in Leo (a masculine fixed fire sign) which means will will all be learning lessons in tandem with planets in other fixed signs including Chiron in Taurus and Pluto in Aquarius. We’ll have quite a time later in the year when Venus retrogrades through Scorpio.
Wednesday July 1st, is a colonial holiday here in Canada, but more importantly it’s the day that our brand new Leo Jupiter squares our brand new Taurus Chiron. This is the 3rd hit of a story that began in October, on the 23rd to be exact, and there was another hit in December before this 0 degree meetup. 0 degrees in any sign is the most pure expression of the sign. It is the most distilled degreee and we will see a frustration or crisis of faith come through this fixed square energy. Or, with the third hit, a new expression, understanding, or piece of healing. The last hits took place in cardinal signs: Jupiter was exalted in Cancer, Chiron was in Aries, working on identity wounds. Now Chiron’s wounds shift to the body, food, nurturing, our ability to give and receive, connection and abundance, Taurean things, but things that also keep us going in this fixed sign. Jupiter in Leo, on the other hand looks at how we keep our faith going, and lead through a steady light. Leo is a leader that needs to be seen, that needs to be in front and centre, and Jupiter is about faith, belief, and teaching and growth. Jupiter will guide us to blessings or excess, depending on how we act. So this crisis of faith may not be a crisis, but an entry point, but it is a threshold, especially in this early degree, and something to pay attention to. If something comes up, look at how it might present an opportunity for healing.
On Friday July 3rd, we have a big mamajama conjunction with Mars and Uranus in Gemini at 3 degrees, so anyone with a mutable sign or point around 1-5 degrees: you are definitely going to feel this. This aspect will have elements of surprise, disruption, revelation, aggression, or extreme desire. We will definitely see flare ups on the world stage, and it will be a prime day for things like explosions and exposee's. Someone, somewhere is about to be revealed, or brought to task by information that was once uncovered. But here in the secular world, we can have something as simple as a revelation, or realization that changes the whole scope of our desire, our fire, our movement in life. And July 3rd has this potential.
What is growing in the background, behind all this and for most of this month-- is momentous astrology; mostly of a beneficial nature involving all the outer planets, moving us into place.
Remember-- I have gone on and on about the Wheel of Fortune card and the how we cannot see the expansion, as we are not expanded enough yet to understand? This month is really like that. Back in the Covid days we were all looking at this point in time in 2026.
And now we are here.
As I recover from chemo treatment #3, I hold on to this. I don’t have enough energy to really do much, and yet I’m an active participant in life still. And this ride has been mostly magical. Thank you for taking it with me.
