This week we have on the 30th two conjunctions. Over the course of several days, starting on the 28th, until May 2nd, we have Venus/Jupiter with Neptune pretty close in Pisces. Then, on the 30th the new (black) moon solar eclipse is conjunct Uranus. This is some witchy and powerful alchemy. If there is a hope and a prayer, a mantra, an intention in that beautiful face of yours right now, double down on it, write it down, say it three times, bury it with honey, jump into the splits, whatever is meaningful. Furthermore, if there is something you can do to please your body, now is the time to do it!
You are about to move forward, like you’re on one of those conveyor belts at the airport that gets you across the terminal faster. You are about to move forward so fast that it might be disorienting. If you know the house that Taurus rules in your chart, then you can get an idea of where this might hit you. If you have planets in fixed signs (Taurus, Scorpio, Leo, Aquarius) between 5 and 15 degrees, you might be feeling this already, and you might notice an event to punctuate the astrology.
You could already be feeling it today, at home, in your living room. Maybe you are on the precipice of change and things are starting to move. Maybe you just sent an important email or tried an important recipe.

This is a heavily future-oriented eclipse. It asks you to step outside your comfort zone and allow in new energy. Perhaps this will bring forth more pleasure or extravagance, or abundance that you have been working towards (Taurus.) Perhaps it will bring you that ___xy___ that you need to do your thing in the world. This is the magic that you've been creating. This is your call and response from the universe. Take a beat.
This is playing out in a square with all this business (Neptune/Jupiter/ Venus in the throuple with Mars trailing behind) in Pisces. The two energies are going to face off and it could feel like waves crashing against the coast, or bodies crashing in bed. This could be sexy, sensual, pleasure filled, or simply rooted in reality. It’s good, it’s auspicious, but of course, there are no guarantees that it will feel awesome. If you’ve been trying NOT to feel things lately, this might feel really heavy or even sleepy. That’s OK.
You will expand and you will have feelings about it. Don’t blame me, I don’t make the rules, and I barely understand them! This is magic time! This energy might feel excessive, or explosive. It may feel fated, destined, ordained. Well it IS babes. You’ve been working for 6 months to get here. It’s time for a little earthly delight.
If you can feel something– anything— in that body of yours, you’re doing it right. I get it, we’re all a little exhausted from the feelings, and the sadness, and the discomfort. We’re scared to look forward with hope, with expectation. But we did it! We made it here!
There has been a cyclical lunar build up since October. If you have any planets at or near 27 degrees you might have felt your world turning upside down. There were 6 full moons at different signs of 27 degrees since then, and each had its own flavor. I have my mercury at 27 degrees Aries, my Jupiter at 29 degrees Taurus, and my lunar nodes are at 24 degrees on the Aries/Libra axis– so I have been on this ride in a big way.
Since October, I have moved through endings to an important relationship, to a city, to a community, to someone I thought I was. I moved homes, I said goodbye to the ideas I had about my future, and started doing astrology for real.
My wings are shiny, I don’t even know how to use them. I’m not sure where I’m going or what I’m doing. All I know is that this is one of the planetary aspects to show up for. This is the first eclipse of the year, and it will be followed by the lunar eclipse with sweet Scorpionic letting go on May 15th. Spoiler alert: that one’s going to hurt so good, get your playlist & tissues ready and block out your calendar. You’re going to want to be home for this one.
I’m trying not to blow this out of proportion, but also, I’m so proud of us. The work of being alive and human is far from over, but we ARE moving forward. We do have beautiful bodies carrying us through this wild ride. It’s spring in the northern hemisphere, it’s almost Beltane, and we have an earth mama to worship. Getting right with her requires us to get right with our own physical selves. This eclipse in Taurus is ruled by Venus– the great connector. We aren’t meant to do this one alone, and we are never alone when we connect with our earth mother. This is a seed planting, embodied, mother loving time. Remember though, your future is on the other line.
